Cavendish Community Council

Cavendish Community Council was established in its current form to raise funds for good causes within the village and to provide donations to the local Hospices.

Cavendish Village Fete and
Horticultural Society Show Sat 30th August

We still have spaces available for stalls. If you or your group would like to book a stall costing £10 please contact Brian Kemp (01787 282145)

Arena events are fully booked and we are looking forward to the appearance of The Red Barrows who were sadly unable to perform last year.

Tickets for The Grand Draw will be available soon.
1st Prize 1 Nights B & B and £50 towards an evening meal at The Carlton Manor Hotel near Lowestoft ( Owned by the former proprietor of The George Cavendish.)
2nd Prize. 1 weeks membership of The Atlantic Spa for two people.
3rd prize. A meal for 2 at The Five Bells Cavendish.
There are many good other excellent prizes provided by local businesses. We very much appreciate their generosity.


Hog Roast 31st August

Tickets costing £9 will be on sale soon through local outlets and CCC Committee members.
Ticket price secures a delicious portion of freshly roasted meat, a baked potato and salad.
As only a limited number of tables and chairs will be available in the marquee you are invited to bring your own unless you wish to spread your blanket on the grass.

As last year, music will be provided by The Selion Jazz Band. In addition, we are lucky to have the services of a local musician who is half of a successful ‘combo’ called ‘Directors Cut’.
They will be entertaining us with a selection of film/show music during the afternoon.

Table Hire CCC tables are available for hire at £5 each. Contact any member of the committee.

30th AUGUST CCC FETE &
HORTICULTURAL SOC. SHOW


The fete, this year, will be officially opened by
Lord Phillips of Sudbury at 2.30.

Details of arena events and stalls will be displayed on posters nearer the time.

As ever we are always in the market for people to help with, car parking, erecting/dismantling marquees & gazebos, loading & unloading equipment and a variety of stalls.

GRANTS FOR STUDENTS

Young people of Cavendish who receive a grant from ‘The George Savage Trust’ prior to heading off to further education or a full time apprenticeship are eligible for a further grant of £50 from CCC.

This will take the form of Book Tokens or help towards payment of specialist tools.
