Cavendish is one of the prettiest villages in Suffolk, situated on the A1092 in the lovely Stour valley between two other beautiful Suffolk towns of Clare and Long Melford.

The Village is famous for its picturesque green, thatched cottages and backdrop of St.Mary's Church.

In all a quintessential English village scene.

There is a lively community, with many clubs and activities running throughout the year. including Badminton,Football,Bowls,Cricket, Keep Fit, Brownies, Mother & Toddler Club (Bumps & Babes), Historical Society, Horticultural Society, Womens Institute etc etc.

Details of all monthly activities can be found in the 'What's on now' page.
There is a very active Community Council, who organise many events throughout the year, particularly the hugely successful Summer Fete and the equally successful Bonfire night.
